HIV/Aids Immigration Ban Lifted In U.S.

A 22-year old HIV/Aids immigration has been lifted in the United States The ban has stopped anyone who is positive with either HIV or AIDS from entering the country. The ban, which was started in the late 1980s, was lifted on Monday and the U.S. plans to host a bi-annual global summit starting in 2012 to fight the disease. According to the BBC, President Obama stated that the ban was not compatible if the US plans to be a leading fighter for the disease.
