Send to KindleBMW released a new eco-minded motorbike that fuses elements of a luxury motorcycle, compact electric cars and the sleek moped . The release of the bike featured model Agyness Deyn, pictured with the bike below. Dubbed the MINI Scooter E Concept, the product was released in London, 10 years after the original MINI hit the market.
Geared at a young, eco-minded demographic, the electric motor is powered by a lithium-ion battery that can be recharged at any conventional AC power socket, with an on-board charging cable. The emission-free bike will come in three models, two two-seater models and one single seater. A smartphone “snap-in adaptor” allows users to tap bluetooth technology to get directions, listen to music, or talk on the phone, hands-free.
This just might be the right product for city slickers seeking a happy medium between a car that’s impossible to park and mass transit that lacks privacy or personal space.
