Links of the Week: Nail Safety, Outlet Shopping News, Men’s Grooming, Iced Coffee Trends, Celebrity Scents & The Beauty Census

Let’s start with the important link. Lucky Magazine reports that New York state’s most popular outlet center, Woodbury Common, is getting a Tom Ford outlet. It’s looking like summer 2012 for this addition. Looks like the creative brain behind Coach, Reed Krakoff, is also expanding his footprint with a locale at Woodbury. Spend carefully ladies.

BirchBox Men in Beta might be right on time. The WSJ did a feature on Walgreens-owned Duane Reade added a “men’s grooming” section. The change in purchasing is that it has gone from women buying for the men in their lives to men buying for themselves.

A Beauty Census

InStyle teamed up with Foursquare do survey the nation’s beauty junkies. I’ve heard things about Fresno but it being a mecca for beauty crazies wasn’t one of them. I stand corrected. Not shocked that Boston didn’t make the top 10.

Cosmetic Design has a piece on the debate surrounding potential danger associated with UV lights used to dry nail polish. The introduction of gel nail polishes has increased the usage of UV lights but for all the studies that liken UV lights to tanning beds, there are more studies to liken UV lights to sunlight.

Are Iced Coffee pods a sign an at-home iced coffee machine is in the works? This would change the street’s view that we should be shorting Green Mountain stock. Never underestimate female demand for iced coffee. NEVER. It’s not hard to make us smile. Here’s the recipe: gym + nails + iced coffee + occasional orgasm. Really, that’s it. Oh and an occasional thank you for putting up with all of you XYs.

Now you can smell like Nicki. What would it be? Cotton candy + wild flowers + cosmos? Gwen Stefani + Kimora Lee Simmons + Katy Perry? Really I don’t think I want to smell like Nicki Minaj but I love her spunk so who knows.

I used to go crazy for OTC face peels so I had to include a link to the release on the new Murad Vitamin C peel. The new Intensive-C Radiance Peel blends Glycolic Acid, Vitamin C (source please!), Indian Fig and Myrtle Extract, the latter of which is supposed to help with collage. Burn baby burn.
